Become a NameWinner.com affiliate and earn 50% of the auction fee for every customer you refer! We even provide special links with expiring domains for you to put on your website. Sign up today!

How It Works: You put a special link to NameWinner.com on your website or in your permission-based e-mails. These links pull content from NameWinner.com (specifically, the expiring domain auctions your visitors can join). When someone clicks on any of the domain names or action links, they are taken to NameWinner.com. If they join an auction within 90 days of clicking your link, you get 50% of the auction fee as a commission.

How To Join: If you are already a member of Commission Junction (CJ) all you need to do is log onto CJ, search for "Dotster Domain Registration," and apply to join our program. Once we receive your application, will will extend you a special program offer to be a NameWinner affiliate. If you are new to Commission Junction, you will need to apply for a CJ account.

If you have any questions, please e-mail the NameWinner affiliate manager and include your CommissionJunction Publisher ID (PID).

Technical Overview

Here's a technical overview of how NameWinner.com partners with CommissionJunction (CJ) to track impressions and clicks:

  1. You place special links on your website that draw in content from NameWinner.com (specifically, the expiring domain lists). You can parse out this information to format it however you'd like.
  2. The link includes an invisible image (one pixel) encoded with the Advertiser ID and Publisher ID. When someone visits your website, the image is called from CJ's servers and counted as an impression.
  3. If a visitor clicks on the link, CJ immediately and invisibly redirects the click from your website to their servers to NameWinner.com. When the visitor arrives at NameWinner.com, we give the user a cookie, which is valid for 90 days.

Here's a technical overview of how NameWinner.com partners with CommissionJunction (CJ) to track sales and commissions:

  1. As an affiliate, you get credit for an online auction entry if a visitor comes to NameWinner.com through your website. You also get credit if that visitor comes back to NameWinner.com and enters an auction up to 90 days later (even if they return to us by coming directly to NameWinner.com instead of visiting your website again).
  2. When a visitor enters an auction, we check for a cookie to see if they are coming from an affiliate website (or have visited an affiliate website in the last 90 days). If they have, we record this information along with the details of their auction entry into our database.
  3. Once the auction fee has been paid, our database sends the transaction data (AID, PID, etc.) back to CJ, where you will be able to see it in your affiliate statistics. You are then credited with a commission of 50% of the auction entry fee.

Glossary

  • Advertiser ID (AID): This code enables you to differentiate between multiple links (if you're an affiliate for multiple companies or programs).
  • Publisher ID (PID): This code enables us to determine which Affiliate brought in the customer and also enables you to distinguish between your own websites (if you run affiliate links from multiple websites).
  • Cookie: This is a small piece of code that sits on a user's system for 90 days. Setting cookies is common practice, and fewer than 2% of NameWinner.com visitors have cookies disabled on their browser.
